Job Description
As a Respiratory Therapist in this role, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and manage patients with various respiratory conditions, ensuring the best possible outcomes.

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments such as oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and aerosolized medications
  • Perform diagnostic tests including pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and chest physiotherapy
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices, disease management, and home care
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions when required
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and treatment plans
  • Ensure all respiratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Current Respiratory Therapy (RRT or CRT) certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
  • Montana state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
  • 1+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting

Skills & Qualifications

  • Expertise in administering respiratory therapy treatments and performing diagnostic procedures
  • Strong understanding of respiratory diseases, therapies, and patient care techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm during emergencies
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
