Child and Adolescent Licensed Counselor - Crystal City, TX
Connected Health Care is a premier recruitment and staffing firm, and we are currently seeking a Child and Adolescent Licensed Counselor for our client in Crystal City, TX. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate professional to make a positive impact in the mental health field, working with children and adolescents in a supportive and fulfilling environment.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Contract Duration: 13 to 26 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
- Compensation: Up to $1600 per week, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to children and adolescents
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing evaluation of clients' progress
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best care for clients
- Document clinical interactions, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Serve as an advocate for clients, connecting them with additional resources as needed
- Provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for clients
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field with major coursework in social, behavioral, or human services
- Active LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license required
- Certified Sex Therapist, or willingness to obtain certification within a reasonable timeframe
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in mental health
- At least 1 year of experience working with children and adolescent populations
- Higher compensation will be provided for candidates with prior experience in mental health, social, behavioral, or human services, including diagnostics
- Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) with 3 years of experience working as an LPC are eligible for the higher end of compensation
