Psychiatric LPN – Behavioral Health
Location: Kerrville, TX
Company: Connected Health Care (In Partnership with Leading Behavioral Health Facility)
Position Type: Contract – 6 Months
Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week
Shift Options: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM or 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Orientation: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Classroom Setting
Weekend Requirement: 2–3 Weekends Per Month

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is currently partnered with a respected behavioral health facility in Kerrville, TX to find a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 6-month assignment. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or physician

  • Assist in the assessment of patients’ mental health and medical needs

  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care

  • Support patients in activities of daily living

  • Participate in treatment planning and team meetings

  • Assist with crisis management and de-escalation techniques

  • Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Active LPN license in the state of Texas (or compact license)

  • Minimum 2 years of LPN experience required

  • At least 1 year of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification – required

  • CPI or equivalent de-escalation training – preferred or willingness to obtain

  • Strong communication and clinical support skills
