Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing agency, is currently seeking a Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a prestigious hospital partner in San Diego, CA. This is a high-impact role in a top-rated facility known for exceptional maternity and neonatal care. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for supporting mothers during labor, assisting in deliveries, monitoring fetal health, and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of both mother and newborn. You’ll be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering outstanding care.
Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages

Monitor vital signs, fetal heart rate, and uterine activity
-
Assist with epidurals, inductions, and emergency cesarean sections as needed

Administer medications and IVs
-
Educate patients and families on postnatal care and recovery
-
Collaborate closely with physicians, OB-GYNs, anesthesiologists, and neonatal staff
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Active and unrestricted California RN license
-
Minimum 1-2 years recent experience in Labor & Delivery (hospital setting preferred)
-
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AWHONN certification a plus)
-
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills
-
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Contract Details
13-week contract with option to extend

Choice of 3x12s or 4x12s shifts

Day and night shifts available
