7th Grade English Teacher (2025-2026 School Year) – Frankfort, IN – Up to $40/hr

Inspire a love of literature and writing in Indiana’s heartland! We’re seeking a passionate 7th Grade English Teacher for a full-time position in Frankfort, IN for the 2025-2026 academic year. Job Details:

  • Position: 7th Grade English Teacher (Full-Time)

  • Schedule: 37.5 hours/week (Monday–Friday, school hours)

  • Duration: August 2025 – May 2026

  • Pay Rate: Up to $40/hr (based on experience)

  • Location: Frankfort, IN (on-site)

Job Description:

  • Teach literature, composition, grammar, and critical thinking skills

  • Implement engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with Indiana Academic Standards

  • Foster analytical reading skills through diverse texts and genres

  • Develop students’ writing proficiency across narrative, informational, and argumentative styles

  • Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance learning

  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

  • Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations

  • Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular literacy initiatives

  • Maintain positive parent-teacher communication

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • Indiana Teaching License with English/Language Arts endorsement (Middle School)

  • Strong knowledge of adolescent literacy development

  • Experience with workshop model teaching (reading/writing) preferred

  • Passion for making literature relevant and exciting for young adults
