Job Title: Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Neurology Unit – Near Lubbock, TX (New Mexico Side)

Job Description: Connected Health Care is currently partnering with a well-respected hospital located on the New Mexico side of Lubbock, TX, to find a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for their Neurology Unit. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced providers and new graduates. Neurology experience is not required, as full training and support will be provided. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, eager to expand their skill set, and committed to working collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining histories and performing physical exams.
  • Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare providers to diagnose and manage neurological conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work, imaging studies, and EEGs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with neurological disorders.
  • Provide patient education on managing neurological conditions and treatment plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient progress.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities related to neurology.

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (for NP) or Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Valid state licensure in Texas (or New Mexico if applicable).
  • Experience in Neurology is not required—new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (or obtainable shortly after employment).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-based environment.
