Bereavement Counselor PRN Job Opportunity - Long Term Care
Job Title: Bereavement Counselor PRN (Two shifts per week), also known as Grief Counselor, Mental Health Counselor, or Clinical Social Worker
Location: Fort Collins, Colorado, United States
Job Type: Temporary, Part-time (PRN - as needed, with potential for 1-2 guaranteed shifts per week)
Job Description:
- Provide bereavement counseling and support to patients and families in a long-term care setting
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address grief and emotional needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and procedures
- Utilize evidence-based practices to promote emotional well-being and coping skills
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Licensed in Colorado as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
Job Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
- Experience in bereavement counseling and long-term care settings is preferred
