Position Overview:
Connected Health Care is seeking a Full Time Hospital Billing Specialist for a client in Emmett, ID. This role requires an organized and detail-oriented professional to manage billing operations for hospital services. The ideal candidate will have experience with hospital billing systems, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and possess strong communication skills to work with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with competitive pay and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage hospital billing processes including accurate charge entry, coding, and submission of claims.
- Review and process patient accounts, ensuring compliance with hospital billing policies and regulations.
- Verify insurance information, ensure accuracy in patient billing, and follow up on unpaid claims.
- Work with medical providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and denials.
- Maintain detailed records of all billing activities, payments, and adjustments.
- Ensure timely submission of claims and work to resolve any outstanding claims.
- Stay current on healthcare billing and coding regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering inquiries and addressing concerns related to billing.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or similar certification preferred, but not required.
- At least 1Â years of experience in hospital billing or healthcare billing roles required.
- Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes, revenue codes.
- Knowledge of UB and HCFA billing
- Experience with hospital billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Familiarity with insurance verification, billing regulations, and coding standards.
