Job Title: Certified Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
Location: Schertz-Cibolo, TX
School Year: 2024-2025
Job Summary:
Connected Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to work within the Schertz-Cibolo area for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and helping to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in students from preschool through high school. The CCC-SLP will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs and enhance their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Utilize standardized assessment tools and techniques to determine students' speech and language needs.

Intervention and Treatment:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Collaboration and Consultation:
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to create supportive educational environments.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.
- Provide training and support to educators and parents regarding speech and language development and strategies to support students.

Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations and policies related to speech and language services.

Professional Development:
- Stay current with research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and interns as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Valid Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and relevant educational laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and a multidisciplinary team.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Full-time position for the 2024-2025 school year.
