Job Title: Certified Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)

Location: Schertz-Cibolo, TX

School Year: 2024-2025

Job Summary:

Connected Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to work within the Schertz-Cibolo area for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and helping to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in students from preschool through high school. The CCC-SLP will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs and enhance their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Diagnosis:

    • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
    • Utilize standardized assessment tools and techniques to determine students' speech and language needs.
  2. Intervention and Treatment:

    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs.
    • Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices.
    • Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  3. Collaboration and Consultation:

    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to create supportive educational environments.
    • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.
    • Provide training and support to educators and parents regarding speech and language development and strategies to support students.
  4. Documentation and Compliance:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations and policies related to speech and language services.
  5. Professional Development:

    • Stay current with research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and interns as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Valid Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and relevant educational laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and a multidisciplinary team.

Work Schedule and Compensation:

  • Full-time position for the 2024-2025 school year.
  • Standard school hours, with some flexibility for meetings and professional development.
