Job Description:

• Perform CT scans for patients, including imaging of the head, chest, abdomen, and extremities, to assist in diagnosing a wide range of conditions.
• Operate CT imaging equipment safely and accurately, ensuring that it is functioning properly and calibrated for optimal results.
• Provide patient care during imaging procedures, explaining the process and ensuring patient comfort.
• Administer contrast agents as needed for specific CT procedures and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
• Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate diagnostic imaging techniques for each patient.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Work with the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate imaging results for use in diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure proper maintenance of imaging equipment and ensure cleanliness of the work area.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
• CT certification through ARRT or equivalent required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Kansas state license or eligibility to obtain required.
• Previous experience as a CT Tech preferred.

Required Experience:

• 2+ years of experience as a CT Tech in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Proficiency in operating CT imaging equipment and administering contrast agents.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient care during imaging procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, rural healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff.
