Travel CT/X-Ray Tech – Swing Shift – Coquille, Oregon

Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Coquille, Oregon to find a Travel CT/X-Ray Tech for a swing shift position. This position offers 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm shifts Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call duties of 1-2 shifts per week. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled CT/X-Ray Tech to work in a rural healthcare setting, gaining valuable experience while living in a beautiful coastal area.

Job Description:

  • Perform CT scans and X-ray imaging for patients to assist in diagnosing a variety of medical conditions.
  • Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely and accurately, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Provide high-quality images for physicians, radiologists, and healthcare teams to make critical medical decisions.
  • Administer contrast agents as required for CT scans and monitor patient reactions during the imaging process.
  • Provide patient care during imaging procedures, explaining the process to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
  • Take on-call shifts, generally one night per week, but may need to take an additional shift if a colleague is on vacation.
  • Respond promptly to on-call requests with an expected response time of 30-60 minutes for urgent cases.
  • Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the EMR system.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Work closely with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective imaging services.

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
  • CT certification through ARRT or equivalent required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Oregon state license or eligibility to obtain required.
  • Experience with X-ray and CT imaging required.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT/X-ray Tech in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Ability to perform a wide range of X-ray and CT imaging procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Experience with contrast agents and the ability to monitor patients during procedures.
  • Comfortable working the swing shift and being available for on-call duties.
