So, if you are a new or experienced Cath Lab RN who is looking to join a compassionate group of nurses providing meaningful care, this position is for you!
Responsibilities
- Cath Lab Registered nurses will assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties, and stent placements
- Cath lab RN prepare patients for specific procedures
- Monitor and record vital signs, oxygen levels, and heart rhythms
- The Registered Nurse will perform procedures, including contrast injections, IV starts and venipuncture for lab specimens
- Assist in implanting pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ECDs)
- Documents findings and communicates all pertinent information to interdisciplinary team members as appropriate
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in the development, evaluation, and revision of the plan of care as appropriate to meet the patient’s needs and goals
- Provides education to patients/families/significant others, incorporating age-specific criteria and assessment of readiness to learn
- Administers medications and completes treatments according to hospital policy and within age-specific parameters
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Facilitates discharge plan in collaboration with interdisciplinary team
- Performs Point of Care procedures in a timely manner according to established policy and procedure
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in NM, or license with a compact state required upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
