Sterile Processing Technician - 8-Week Contract
Connected Health Care is seeking a qualified Sterile Processing Technician for an 8-week contract at a prestigious Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) ranked among the BEST ASCs by U.S. News and World Report.
Job Description:
The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and inventory of instruments, equipment, and re-usable medical supplies in accordance with nationally recognized standards, regulations, and center policies. The role ensures the delivery of safe, quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sterilize and maintain medical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Keep accurate records of sterilization processes.
- Ensure inventory is stocked and managed effectively.
- Adhere to established protocols and safety standards.
Education/Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Required:
- GED or High School diploma.
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPR certification.
Preferred:
- Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT).
Interview Process:
- Initial phone interview with the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
- Second interview (if possible) will be onsite with the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
Additional Information:
- Number of Operating Rooms: 6
- Surgeries per Day/Month: 350
