Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Newburyport, MA

Hourly Compensation: $35/hr | Part-Time | 25 Hours/Week

Connected Health Care is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support an Educational Services client in Newburyport, MA. This part-time role is perfect for a dedicated COTA looking to assist students in developing essential motor and functional skills in a supportive school setting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist (OT) in conducting student assessments and implementing therapy plans.

  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.

  • Support students in improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.

  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and special education staff to ensure therapy goals are met.

  • Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation for student records.

  • Adapt therapy techniques and materials to meet individual student needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Massachusetts COTA licensure required.

  • Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.

  • Experience working with school-aged children and special education students preferred.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
