As a Certified Surgical Scrub Technician, you will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and nursing teams to ensure seamless surgical procedures. Your expertise will be vital in preparing instruments, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting a sterile environment that prioritizes patient dignity and care excellence.
Required Skills:
- Certified Surgical Technology certification (NBSTSA or equivalent)
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
- Ability to assemble supplies and equipment per physician preferences
- Strong attention to detail with accuracy and thoroughness
-Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Capable of following safety and infection control policies
- Proficient in EMR, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a surgical center or operating room environment
- Familiarity with advanced surgical equipment (lasers, microscopes, video systems)
- Background in infection control and safety protocols
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certificate from a college or technical school (minimum 1 year) or 3-6 months related experience
- Previous surgical tech experience is advantageous but not mandatory for entry-level candidates
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate surgery schedules
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient movement
- Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, and fine motor skills
