Travel Certified Surgical Technologist – Franklin, TN
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $1,680 (based on experience)
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a rewarding assignment in a supportive and dynamic surgical team environment.
Position Summary
The Certified Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of a surgeon to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures. This role maintains a sterile environment, ensures proper functioning of equipment, and provides direct support before, during, and after surgeries.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and the technologist’s role within them
- Prepare operating rooms by assembling necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment
- Maintain and update surgeon preference cards, tray lists, and instrument logs
- Monitor and maintain a sterile field, reporting any breaks in sterile technique
- Operate surgical instruments, power equipment, video systems, lasers, and other OR technology
- Accurately document sterilization records and other required logs
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to promote effective teamwork and patient care
- Attend required safety and compliance training programs
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the surgical team
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One-year certificate from an accredited college/technical school OR equivalent experience
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (or equivalent certification)
- CPR certification required
- Minimum of 6 months related experience preferred
