Position Type: Full-Time
Setting: LTAC - 39 Beds
Salary Range: 115k-120k

We are currently seeking a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) for a hospital-based leadership role. Position Summary:
The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) is responsible for coordinating patient care and clinical operations across designated hospital departments. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CCO provides strategic direction, oversight, and evaluation of clinical services to ensure high-quality patient care while aligning with the hospital's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement clinical standards and ensure compliance with state and accreditation board regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage clinical teams, including nursing staff, therapy staff, dietitians, and other clinical disciplines.
- Oversee patient care delivery, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop operational plans and budget strategies for clinical departments.
- Address patient complaints and oversee incident investigations to drive process improvements.
- Monitor staffing, workflows, and resources to ensure optimal productivity and financial stewardship.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related field required. A postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA, MSN, MS-HA) is preferred or must be actively pursued.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hospital-based clinical experience as an RN or equivalent clinical role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position (DON or CCO).
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Active RN license (or other appropriate clinical license if in a different field).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS within 90 days of hire).
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficient in critical thinking and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Management Record (EHMR) systems.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
Work Environment:
- Hospital-based administrative office and nursing stations.
- Frequent interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
