Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist
Location: New London, CT

We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Lab Scientist to join our client’s laboratory team in New London, CT. Our client is a leader in the healthcare industry and offers a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Job Description:
• Perform moderately and highly complex laboratory testing on clinical specimens to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases
• Verify accuracy and validity of test results
• Monitor quality control of laboratory equipment and specimen and perform preventive maintenance
• Properly document and record all laboratory procedures
• Maintain laboratory supplies inventory
• Follow laboratory safety procedures
• Provide technical assistance to laboratory personnel

Education & Certification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field
• Clinical Lab Scientist certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology
• Proficiency in the use of laboratory instruments and equipment
• Knowledge of quality assurance standards and practices
• Familiarity with laboratory safety practices
