Connected Health Care is seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Director to join a reputable healthcare facility in Bay City, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced laboratory leader to oversee daily operations, ensure compliance, and guide a skilled team toward continued success.
Job Description
- Laboratory Management: Provide leadership and oversight for the clinical laboratory department, ensuring efficient operations, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
- Staff Supervision: Manage laboratory staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable laboratory testing.
- Testing Procedures: Oversee laboratory testing procedures, protocols, instrumentation, and equipment maintenance to meet industry standards and best practices.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and safety protocols, including CLIA, CAP, and OSHA regulations.
- Data Analysis: Analyze laboratory data, results, and trends to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and process optimization.
Education + Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
- Current Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification from ASCP or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in clinical laboratory management (hospital or healthcare setting preferred).
- Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, testing methodologies, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and adapt to changing priorities.
