Position: Occupational Therapist - Unit (8-week Contract)

Are you an Occupational Therapist seeking a short-term opportunity?
Summary: The Occupational Therapist (OT) is tasked with delivering therapeutic interventions to aid patients in restoring physical and cognitive abilities relevant to daily living tasks.
Contract Details: Duration: 8 weeks Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5x8's Hourly Rate: $50/hr
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical, communication, and cognitive capacities to devise tailored treatment plans.
- Evaluate patients' home, school, and workplace environments.
- Provide guidance on adaptive equipment or techniques to facilitate daily activities.
- Educate patients on memory, communication, and activities of daily living (ADLs) compensatory strategies.
- Facilitate patients' engagement in everyday activities considering their individual needs.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans and goals accordingly.
- Undertake administrative duties such as documentation, participation in interdisciplinary care conferences, equipment recommendations, and patient/family education.
Requirements:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Missouri.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1-year hospital experience, preferably in critical care/acute care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated teamwork, attention to detail, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Positive, professional, and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to accommodate flexible schedules.
