Job Description
Contract - Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,520/wk
Contract Length: 8-week shift schedule, Monday to Friday, 5x8
Location: Lehigh Acres, FL
Setting: Acute Hospital
Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will provide rehabilitation therapy services to assigned patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, adhering to the PTA Practice Act in the state.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in improving mobility through exercise and various techniques.
- Interpret and execute protocol orders accurately and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain current patient treatment plans, including identifying patient problems, goals, and interventions related to therapy.
- Evaluate intervention outcomes and adjust care as necessary.
- Monitor patient progress and treatment, maintaining accurate patient records, and communicating regularly with the Physical Therapist and care provider team.
- Provide encouragement and support to patients throughout their recovery process.
- Assist patients in performing exercises and mobility techniques.
- Educate patients, family members, or other caregivers on skills and techniques to aid in the patient's treatment program.
Requirements:
- Associate degree from an Accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Physical Therapy License in Florida.
- BLS Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
