Job Description:

• Prepare and examine microscopic slides of body fluids, cells, and other substances.
• Identify abnormalities in specimens such as infections, cancer, and pre-cancerous lesions.
• Collaborate with pathologists to discuss findings and determine further testing or diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all findings.
• Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained and calibrated.
• Follow all safety protocols and laboratory guidelines.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology or a related field.
• Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as a Cytotechnologist (CT) is required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
