Job Title: Director of Quality Management

Setting: LTAC - 39 beds

Salary: 92k-100k

Job Summary: Connected Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Director of Quality Management to lead the quality program for a hospital facility. This pivotal role ensures the development and implementation of patient safety initiatives, continuous quality improvement, risk management, and infection prevention programs. The Director will oversee regulatory compliance and drive the organization’s mission to provide exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

Quality & Regulatory:

  • Collaborate with medical staff and administration to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.

  • Manage all clinical quality outcomes and performance improvement functions.

  • Analyze study results and develop follow-up actions in collaboration with medical staff.

  • Coordinate data collection for studies and management reports.

  • Perform investigations, root cause analyses, and communicate findings through committee structures.

Risk Management:

  • Oversee patient safety and risk management activities, including developing policies, education, and communication.

  • Manage Risk Committee meetings and hospital Patient Safety Risk Program activities.

Infection Control:

  • Plan, develop, and manage the Infection Prevention and Control program.

  • Coordinate data reporting for hospital-associated and community-acquired infections.

  • Provide education and updates related to infection control processes.

Employee Health:

  • Manage Employee Health Plan activities, ensuring vaccination records and fitness-for-duty assessments are accurately maintained.

  • Review return-to-work documentation for employees.

Key Competencies:

  • Proficiency in quality and performance improvement techniques.

  • Strong investigation and root cause analysis skills.

  • Clinical knowledge, including infection control processes.

  • Operational knowledge of acute-care hospital settings.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead teams and manage conflict effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in Quality, Risk, or Infection Control.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of acute care/hospital experience; 1 year of quality management experience preferred.

  • Licensure/Certifications: Active clinical license (e.g., RN or RT); CIHQ IC, CIQH-HACP-CMS certification, or equivalent (or commitment to obtain within 2 years).

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking; extensive computer usage.

  • Light work: lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently.

Work Environment:

  • Hospital-based role with occasional remote work approved by the CEO and Corporate VP of Clinical Services.
