Location: Fairfield, IL
Schedule: Full-time, 3x12s (36 hours/week)
Contract: 13-week contract with potential for permanent hire
Setting: Critical Access Hospital
Compensation: $65/hr
Connected Health Care is partnering with a leading Critical Access facility in Fairfield, IL to hire an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse. Position Overview
As an Emergency Department RN, you will deliver high-quality patient care in a community-focused hospital environment. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients experiencing urgent and emergent health needs.
Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to Emergency Department patients

Triage and respond quickly to patient conditions and emergencies

Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform necessary procedures

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff

Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care instructions

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Uphold facility and healthcare safety standards and policies
Qualifications

Required: Active RN license (IL or compact)

Experience: Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience preferred; critical access experience a plus

Certifications Required:

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred

TNCC preferred
Strong critical thinking and triage skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced rural hospital setting
