Job Description:

Provide specialized instruction to elementary students with autism spectrum disorder

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with functional and academic goals
-
Utilize evidence-based practices for students with autism (ABA, TEACCH, etc.)

Create structured learning environments with visual supports and routines
-
Collaborate with speech therapists, OTs, BCBAs, and paraprofessionals
-
Implement behavior intervention plans and collect progress data
-
Foster communication and social skills development
-
Maintain positive home-school communication with families
Education & Certification Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
-
Colorado Teaching License with Special Education Generalist or ASD Endorsement
-
Experience working with elementary students with autism
-
Training in autism-specific methodologies (preferred)
-
Knowledge of Colorado Academic Standards and alternate assessments

Strong patience, creativity, and collaboration skills
