Connected Health Care is partnered with a critical access facility located near Omaha, Nebraska, searching for a full-time ER Physician to join their welcoming and collaborative team. The Emergency Room Physician will specialize in the ER and have knowledge of chest pain and cardiac awareness. If you're a DO, MD, or MP interested in a new opportunity, this may be for you!

In this ER Physician role, you will provide medical care to patients in the emergency department (ED). You can expect to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and injuries in an emergency setting, such as heart attacks, strokes, fractures, infections, and severe allergic reactions.

During your first few weeks in this ER Physician role, you can expect to take on some of the following:

• Conduct initial assessments of patients in the emergency department, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests to determine the appropriate course of treatment
• Provide immediate medical interventions and treatments to stabilize patients in critical condition, including resuscitation, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and trauma management
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, paramedics, and specialists, to coordinate patient care and make timely decisions regarding treatment plans and referrals
• Perform emergency procedures, such as intubation, central line placements, suturing, and wound care, to address immediate medical needs and stabilize patients
• Make rapid and critical decisions regarding patient care, including prioritizing cases based on severity, determining the need for admission or discharge, and arranging for appropriate follow-up care

The ideal candidate will specialize in the ER and have an interest in or knowledge of chest pain and cardiac awareness. You must be certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and have completed a Residency in ER. The role is open to DO, MD, or MP.
