Job Description:

• Assist in the performance of endoscopic procedures, ensuring efficient and safe patient care.
• Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Sterilize and disinfect equipment according to established protocols and regulations.
• Assist healthcare professionals during endoscopic procedures by handling instruments and supplies.
• Monitor and care for patients throughout procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Manage the inventory of endoscopy supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve department efficiency and quality of care.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited program for Endoscopy Technicians preferred.
• Certification as an Endoscopy Technician, if available, is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in an endoscopy setting or similar role required.
• Familiarity with critical access hospital environments including ED, Med Surg, and LTC.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection control procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to team collaboration and patient care.
