Job Requirements

  • Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Dietary Manager preferred
  • Certifications Requirements: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), ServSafe Food Handler Certification, CPR certification
  • Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of experience in food service management; experience with long-term care facilities; familiarity with dietary regulations and safety standards
  • Other Requirements: Strong organizational skills; excellent communication abilities; physical ability to stand for extended periods

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and ensure the proper preparation and serving of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and management to develop and implement dietary plans tailored to residents' needs
  • Maintain accurate records of dietary procedures, inventory, and resident dietary restrictions
  • Document and report any issues related to food safety, equipment, or staffing to appropriate management
  • Execute quality control measures to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility-specific dietary regulations
