 The RN Registered Nurse job coordinates total plan of care with other health care professionals involved in care and helps to achieve and maintain continuity of patient care by planning and exchanging information with physician, agency personnel, patient, family, and community resources.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and effective nursing care until your patient is transferred from your care to recovery
- to work full-time and part-time shifts (days, nights and weekends available)
- Focus on the medical needs and treatment of infants, children, and/or adolescents primarily in their home according to the active plan of care, as given by the physician and other appropriate personnel
- Conduct on-going patient care and assessments
- Administration of prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
- Coordination of care
- Educate family members on patient clinical care to enhance positive outcomes
- Preventative initiatives to protect quality of care for patient
- Manage your patients care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia
- Consistently review your charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure
- Experience: 1+ years of experience preferred but not required
- Have and maintain a reliable source of transportation
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in Ohio
- Maintains a current CPR certification
