We are seeking a Full-Time Physician to join the Tecumseh Family Health team at Adams Primary Care and Hospital in Tecumseh, Nebraska. This position offers the opportunity to provide quality care in a family clinic setting while also supporting ER call and hospital rounding. Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive care in the family clinic, including preventive care, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment of illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages.
- Be available for ER call and provide support in the hospital, responding to emergencies and delivering high-quality care.
- Perform hospital rounding, ensuring patients receive appropriate care and monitoring during their stay.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, managing chronic conditions and working to prevent future health complications.
- Provide patient education on healthy lifestyle choices, medications, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and support staff to provide comprehensive care for the community.
- Participate in occasional Saturday mornings in the clinic as part of your schedule.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with state regulations and healthcare standards.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Nebraska State Medical License or ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience in a family medicine or primary care setting preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
Required Experience:
- Family medicine experience preferred, but open to considering new graduates with appropriate training.
- Ability to provide care in both outpatient and hospital settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on compassionate patient care.
- Ability to manage ER call and respond to medical emergencies in a calm and efficient manner.
