Job Details

• Location: Bandon, OR
• Setting: Hospital Laboratory
• Schedule:
• 4x10s (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday)
• Will consider 3x12s depending on applicant and hospital needs

• Weekend Rotation: Only required to support vacation coverage for team members
• Holiday Rotation: Time and a half for holiday shifts (six holidays per year, employees choose which to work)
• Compensation: $33.90 – $44.03 per hour (DOE)

  Job Responsibilities
• Perform highly accurate and complex laboratory tests across various disciplines, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology
• Ensure precise analysis and timely reporting of test results to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot sophisticated laboratory equipment and analyzers
• Maintain strict quality control standards and compliance with CLIA 88 and all relevant regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and laboratory staff to ensure seamless operations
• Document and maintain accurate test records within the hospital’s EMR system
• Follow infection control and laboratory safety protocols

  Qualifications & Requirements

  For Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS)
• Education: Baccalaureate or Associate’s Degree meeting National Certification Exam requirements
• Certification:
• Successful completion of the National Certification Examination
• Active MT, MLS, and/or CLS certification
• Must maintain certification through continuing education
• ASCP Certified 
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience required

  For Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT)
• Education: Associate’s Degree meeting National Certification Exam requirements
• Certification:
• Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for MLT
• Active MT, MLT, and/or CLS certification
• Must maintain certification through continuing education
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience required
