Connected Healthcare is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) for a full-time position in Bandon, Oregon. This opportunity offers a 4x10 weekday schedule (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday), with the possibility of a 3x12 schedule depending on hospital needs. - Location: Bandon, OR
- Setting: Hospital Laboratory
- Schedule:
- 4x10s (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday)
- Will consider 3x12s depending on applicant and hospital needs
- Weekend Rotation: Only if needed to support team members' vacations
- Holiday Rotation: Time and a half for holiday shifts (six holidays per year, employees choose which to work)
- Compensation: $26.56 – $30.53 per hour (DOE)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology
- Ensure accurate analysis and timely reporting of test results to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Maintain strict quality control standards and compliance with CLIA 88 and other regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to provide efficient laboratory support
- Document and maintain patient test results with precision in the hospital’s EMR system
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures in the laboratory setting
Qualifications & Requirements
For Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS)
- Education: Baccalaureate or Associate’s Degree meeting National Certification Exam requirements
- Certification:
- National Certification Examination completion required
- Active MT, MLS, and/or CLS certification
- Must maintain certification through continuing education
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience required
For Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT)
- Education: Associate’s Degree meeting National Certification Exam requirements
- Certification:
- National Certification Examination completion required for MLT
- Active MT, MLT, and/or CLS certification
- Must maintain certification through continuing education
- ASCP CertifiedÂ
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience required
