Full-Time Director – Healthcare Risk Management - Wichita, KS

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is proud to partner with a respected healthcare provider in Wichita, Kansas to find an experienced and dedicated Director of Healthcare Risk Management. This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient safety, organizational compliance, and operational excellence.

Position Overview:
As the Director of Risk Management, you will lead and oversee risk mitigation strategies, regulatory compliance, and safety initiatives across the organization. You will collaborate with senior leadership, clinical teams, and legal departments to create a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the planning and execution of the organization's risk management program

  • Investigate, analyze, and report risk-related incidents and adverse events

  • Develop and implement policies to minimize risk exposure and ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards

  • Collaborate with leadership on patient safety strategies, regulatory audits, and internal reviews

  • Provide guidance on legal matters, including patient grievances and medical-legal claims

  • Facilitate staff training on risk prevention and regulatory updates

  • Lead initiatives to reduce liability and improve overall safety and quality outcomes

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare clinical field required

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare or Business preferred

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive, proven clinical and leadership experience

Licensure & Certification Requirements:

  • Current licensure/registration/certification in a healthcare clinical field preferred

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) required upon hire or within agreed-upon timeframe

  • Pursuit of Fellow credentials in Risk Management encouraged by the fifth year of continuous employment
