Job Description

• Oversee daily operations of the ultrasound department, ensuring efficiency and quality imaging.
• Perform and interpret high-quality ultrasound scans, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and cardiac imaging.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to ultrasound technologists and support staff.
• Maintain and enforce compliance with hospital protocols and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of ultrasound equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with department scheduling.

Requirements

• Active ARDMS certification (or eligibility to obtain).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound experience, with leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency in OB/GYN, vascular, cardiac, and general ultrasound procedures.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
