- Provide comprehensive neurological care to patients under the supervision of neurologists.
- Diagnose and manage neurological disorders, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and movement disorders.
- Conduct neurological assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
- Assist in procedures such as lumbar punctures, EEG monitoring, and Botox injections for neurological conditions.
- Educate patients and families on neurological disease management and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Certification: Current national certification as an NP (AGNP, FNP, or relevant specialization) or PA-C.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted license to practice in New Mexico (or eligibility for licensure).
- Experience: Prior experience in neurology, neuroscience, or related specialty preferred.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-first approach.
