Full-Time Nocturnist Physician - Troy, NY

Job Description:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care during nighttime hours, ensuring smooth transitions between day and night teams

• Respond to acute medical issues, manage admissions, and oversee hospitalist responsibilities

• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor progress through the night

• Document patient information accurately and timely using the hospital’s EMR system

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support hospital protocols and procedures

• Maintain open communication with families and day-shift teams to coordinate ongoing care

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school

• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

• Active New York State medical license or ability to obtain licensure

• Hospitalist or inpatient care experience preferred

• ACLS and BLS certifications required (American Heart Association preferred)

• Excellent decision-making and critical-thinking skills for overnight care
