This is a fantastic opportunity for compassionate and skilled nurses who are passionate about providing exceptional maternal and neonatal care.
Job Description
- Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process
- Monitor maternal and fetal health, administer medications, and assist with pain management
- Support physicians and midwives during deliveries and surgical procedures when necessary
- Educate and support patients and families on the birthing process and postnatal care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation
- Respond to emergency situations with professionalism and clinical expertise
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Education and Certification Requirements
- Valid RN license in the state of New Mexico (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
