Job Description:
As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in Fargo, ND, you will work directly with children to assess, treat, and develop personalized therapy plans aimed at improving motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities. You will provide therapy services in a supportive environment, helping children achieve their potential and maximize independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate children’s physical, cognitive, and developmental needs.
- Develop individualized therapy plans to address the unique needs and goals of each child.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance motor skills, sensory integration, and social interactions.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and progress.
- Educate parents and caregivers on techniques to support continued progress at home and in daily activities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to children and families throughout the therapy process.
- Participate in team meetings and share expertise to enhance patient care.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure in North Dakota.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with children, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
