Job Description

Position: School Sign Language Interpreter (K-12)
Location: Moncks Corner, SC (29461)
Schedule: Full-Time (2025-26 School Year) | 37.5 hrs/week (follows school calendar)
Compensation: Up to $50/hr (W2 position with benefits)

Connected Health Care is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to support Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in Moncks Corner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ASL interpreting services in educational settings

  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff

  • Adapt interpreting style to match student's language level (ASL/PSE/SEE)

  • Support classroom instruction and school activities

  • Assist with note-taking accommodations when needed

  • Collaborate with DHH teachers and IEP teams

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Requirements:

  • EIPA 3.5+ or RID/NIC certification (SC requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (not required)

  • Experience with educational interpreting

  • Ability to interpret academic content appropriately

Preferred Qualifications:

? Experience with K-12 school settings
? Knowledge of IEP processes
? Flexibility across multiple grade levels
