Connected Health Care is actively seeking a skilled Histology Tech for a prominent healthcare facility in El Paso, TX.

Job Description: As a Histology Tech, you will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination by pathologists. Your duties will include processing tissue specimens, embedding samples in paraffin, cutting thin sections, staining slides, and operating laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process tissue specimens following established protocols and procedures.
• Embed tissue samples in paraffin blocks and prepare thin sections for microscopic examination.
• Perform routine and special staining techniques.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or a related field.
• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred.
• Experience working in a histology laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and performing histology techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
