Licensed Practical Nurse - Hospital Setting

Connected Health Care is partnered with a small critical access facility located near Humboldt Nebraska searching for a hospital LPN to join their team! If you are a new or experienced LPN looking for your next opportunity, this may be for you!
Job Summary:
The LPN in a hospital setting works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs a variety of patient care duties. They are responsible for assisting in patient assessments, medication administration, and other medical procedures. The LPN will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, medication history, and other health-related information.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician or registered nurse.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with medical procedures, such as wound care, catheterizations, and IV therapy.
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and their families on health-related topics, such as disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies are in working order and properly maintained.
- Comply with all policies and procedures related to infection control, safety, and confidentiality.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN license in the state of Nebraska.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a hospital setting.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records and other computer programs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
