Full-Time IMCU / Step-Down Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights (7P–7A) – Coos Bay, Oregon

IMCU / Step-Down RN Job Description
As an IMCU / Step-Down RN, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced clinical support in a progressive care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to moderately acute and high-acuity patients
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry patients
  • Administer IV medications, titratable drips, and advanced therapies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Perform detailed patient assessments and document findings accurately
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
  • Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate care as needed
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and nursing standards
Education & Certification Requirements
  • Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
  • Minimum 1–2 years of IMCU, PCU, Step-Down, or Telemetry experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
