We are seeking an experienced and passionate Interim Director of Nursing (Contract) to join a dedicated team at a reputable long-term care facility in Nebraska. This permanent full-time position offers strong leadership opportunities, a collaborative work culture, and the chance to truly make a difference in the lives of patients and staff.
Job Responsibilities:

Oversee all nursing operations and ensure high standards of patient care

Supervise, mentor, and support the nursing staff

Develop and implement policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations
-
Coordinate with physicians, staff, and administrative teams to deliver consistent care
-
Monitor staffing, training, and scheduling needs
-
Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance
-
Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation
Education & Certification Requirements:
-
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
-
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
-
Minimum of 2–3 years of leadership or DON experience in long-term care or similar setting
-
Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines (CMS, state regulations)
-
BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
