Interim Director of Nursing (Contract) 13-26 weeks- Housing provided!

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Interim Director of Nursing (Contract) to join a dedicated team at a reputable long-term care facility in Nebraska. This permanent full-time position offers strong leadership opportunities, a collaborative work culture, and the chance to truly make a difference in the lives of patients and staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all nursing operations and ensure high standards of patient care

  • Supervise, mentor, and support the nursing staff

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations

  • Coordinate with physicians, staff, and administrative teams to deliver consistent care

  • Monitor staffing, training, and scheduling needs

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of leadership or DON experience in long-term care or similar setting

  • Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines (CMS, state regulations)

  • BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
