Job Description:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests
- Assess students' skills to determine their needs and develop teaching plans
- Collaborate with parents, administrators, and other professionals to create effective learning environments
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
- Provide a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- State certification in Special Education
- Prior experience working with students with special needs preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic teaching environment
