Travel - Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Lab Tech (MT/MLT) Contract

Job Description:

  • Perform high-quality lab tests and diagnostic procedures to assist in patient care.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Ensure lab safety protocols are followed while maintaining accurate records of lab results.

  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to interpret and report findings.

  • Provide support to other laboratory staff and assist with patient care when necessary.

  • Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement efforts.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) certification from a recognized body (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (for MLS) or Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (for MLT).

  • Current licensure to practice as an MT/MLT in the state of Minnesota.

  • At least one year of experience in a clinical lab setting is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of lab equipment, patient care standards, and laboratory safety.
