Medical Technologist – Welch, WV
Up to $1,994/week | Full-Time | 5x8 Shifts
Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a County Hospital in Welch, WV, to find a dedicated Medical Technologist to join their team. Job Highlights:
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
- Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (includes an unpaid 30-minute lunch break)
- Compensation: Up to $1,994Â per week
- Location: County Hospital – General Lab
Responsibilities:
- Perform and analyze complex medical laboratory tests in areas such as blood banking, chemistry, hematology, bacteriology, parasitology, serology, and urinalysis
- Maintain laboratory quality control and ensure compliance with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) standards
- Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments, troubleshooting as needed
- Record and interpret test results accurately for physician diagnosis
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a sterile work environment
Requirements:
- National Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
- CLIA Certification required
- Education:
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from an accredited four-year college or university
- Option 2: Bachelor’s degree in physical or natural sciences (biology & chemistry required) + 3 years of experience performing lab tests
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years full-time paid experience in medical laboratory testing
