Job Title: Locum Tenens ER Physician – Hobbs, NM

Job Description: Connected Health Care is currently seeking a skilled and experienced ER Physician for a 13-week locum tenens assignment in Hobbs, New Mexico. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency care in a busy ER, diagnosing and treating patients with a wide range of urgent medical conditions.
• Perform life-saving medical procedures including intubations, chest tubes, suturing, and other critical interventions.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to ensure timely and effective care.
• Assess, stabilize, and manage emergency cases, including trauma, cardiac events, and other high-acuity patients.
• Triage incoming patients based on the severity of their conditions.
• Provide clear and compassionate communication with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Adhere to all hospital policies and clinical protocols, ensuring the highest standard of care.
• Ensure patient safety and quality of care while managing emergency situations.
• Act as a leader in the ER team, mentoring junior staff when appropriate.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (preferred).
• Active medical license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain licensure).
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required.
• Previous ER experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strong decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care.

• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Weekly Compensation: Up to $210/hr based on experience.
