Job Title: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner – Near Carlsbad, NM

Job Description: Connected Health Care is currently seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a 13-week locum tenens assignment near Carlsbad, New Mexico. This is an excellent opportunity to earn up to $125/hr based on experience while providing high-quality care in a welcoming, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary care services, including physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment of various medical conditions.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with regulations.
• Order diagnostic tests and interpret results to provide accurate diagnoses.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with the management of chronic conditions and promote overall wellness.
• Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification from an accredited program.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain licensure).
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Previous NP experience in primary care or relevant specialty preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
