Connected Health Care is searching for a full-time multi modality MRI Technologist to join a critical access facility located in Sidney Nebraska. If you are an experienced MRI Tech looking for your next opportunity, this could be for you!
A multi-modality MRI technologist is a skilled medical imaging professional who is proficient in operating and interpreting multiple imaging modalities, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT). This role involves performing a range of diagnostic imaging procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. The job description for a multi-modality MRI technologist typically includes the following responsibilities:

Performing Imaging Procedures: Operate MRI and CT equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal structures. Follow established protocols to ensure accurate and detailed imaging results.

Patient Interaction: Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the imaging process, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Ensure patients are comfortable and positioned correctly for optimal imaging.

Equipment Management: Calibrate and maintain MRI and CT equipment to ensure it operates safely and produces accurate images. Troubleshoot technical issues as needed and report any malfunctions.

Contrast Administration: Administer contrast agents as required for enhanced visualization of certain structures during imaging procedures. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions and provide appropriate care.

Patient Safety: Follow radiation safety protocols and ensure patients' safety during procedures. Minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and yourself.

Image Interpretation: Review and analyze acquired images to ensure quality and completeness. Identify any technical issues that might affect the diagnostic quality of the images.

Collaboration: Coordinate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review imaging results and ensure accurate interpretation of images. Communicate effectively to provide essential information for patient care.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures, imaging parameters, contrast usage, and any relevant information in accordance with departmental and regulatory guidelines.

Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, such as equipment performance testing and image quality assessments, to maintain high standards of imaging accuracy.

Continuing Education: Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in MRI and CT imaging through ongoing professional development and continuing education activities.

Multi-Modality Skills: Utilize your expertise in multiple imaging modalities to contribute to patient care and diagnostic accuracy across different medical scenarios.

Patient Care and Comfort: Ensure a positive patient experience by maintaining a compassionate and empathetic approach, addressing patient concerns, and minimizing discomfort during procedures.

Qualifications:
-Accredited educational program in radiology technology or medical imaging.
-ARRT for MRI and other modalities
-Clinical experience
-NE Radiology license
-BLS/CPR
