Job Summary: As a Manager at Grand Strand Medical Center, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the unit. Working in collaboration with the leadership team, you will play a crucial role in developing plans, policies, and procedures to efficiently provide quality care. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective and flexible utilization of staff within staffing guidelines, considering staff competency and patient acuity.
• Evaluate staff performance and work-related behavior per policies, using effective coaching techniques to enhance employee performance.
• Demonstrate leadership behavior, establish teamwork expectations, and hold staff accountable for their performance.
• Plan for future needs by preparing the annual budget and monitor monthly reports to ensure the department stays within budget constraints.
• Participate in the organization's educational programs and support community outreach while maintaining advanced practice study.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State in which you practice or must hold a Compact/Multi-State RN License.
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA or American Red Cross are required).
• 5+ years of managerial experience; ACUTE CARE experience is required.
• Leadership experience is essential.
• MUST have experience as an RN in an inpatient behavioral health unit within an acute care system.
